Imagine a future where long-time residents welcome new neighbors attracted to the prospect of small-town living. Where businesses can discover the benefits of a centralized location and low cost-of-living. This is the future Remington and Wolcott are planning for today.
Remington/Wolcott wants to honor its agricultural history and rural roots as it also prepares for the next century. But it will take energy, time and hard work. It also takes the commitment of many partners both in town and across the state.
The Remington Wolcott Community Development Commission currently is pursuing funding for an economic development plan for the region. The resulting plan will address the previous and current economic performance of the Jasper and White County region and outline specific economic development strategies for the area. The plan will include target audiences and an implementation plan, which works in tandem with the current RWCDC Development Plan.
